INSPIRE Popup at WorkZones Dec. 20
Local artists, authors, entrepreneurs and artisans will showcase their wares and ideas at the return of Inspire Pop-Up on Monday, December 20, from 5:30-8:00 at the WorkZone in at 351 Paseo Nuevo upstairs. The event is free and open to the public. Each presenter will be speaking for 5 minutes about something that inspires them.
Claudia Bratton, artist and hat maker will have her Miss Tickle Hats and small art pieces for sale. “Beauty inspires me; it touches something inside of me that makes me want to express more beauty.” Bratton said. She is well known in Santa Barbara as the former Summer Solstice Celebration executive director. She has dedicated decades of her life to arts in the community. Here is her story of how hats saved her life.
Claudia will also have jewelry for sale from Susan Dworski and Nancy Murdock.
Penny Little, author, musician and artist will share her Little Savage cartoons, art and greeting cards. Little will have her most recent albums available for purchase, and will perform some songs from her recent album “Goodbye Yellow Butterfly” dedicated to her husband and musical partner Nik Green, who passed away in 2016.
“This is an opportunity to get inspired, to find a few treasures and last- minute gifts for the holidays. It’s a little bit Pecha Kucha, a little bit mini-Ted Talk a little bit pop-up marketplace, and a little bit party.” says event organizer Penny Little.”And it’s my birthday!”
Simone Byers, communications consultant, will be also give a short talk. “If you have ever wished you could take back something you said, felt lost when needing to broach a difficult topic, or found yourself weary of being misunderstood, come join Simone Byers to learn about how to open up communication that supports sustainable, fulfilling, and joyful personal and professional relationships.”

Inspire POP-up @ Night Lizard Brewing Company
The next INSPIRE Pop-up will be December 17, 5-8 pm at Santa Barbara’s Night Lizard Brewing Company. The event will eture the artistry of Claudia Bratton with her Miss Tickle Hats and artwork; jewelry and book signing with Bonnie Kelm; David Segall will play a couple tunes and share his video “Touch of Love.” Organizer and MC Penny Little will share something from her upcoming album “Goodbye Yellow Butterfly.” and have her Little Savage™ irreverent holiday cards available.
Each participating artist, author and artisan will share a short talk about “inspiration.” The theme of the evening is “Our Home, Our Planet.”

October 15th INSPIRE Pop-up at Uncorked
I’m getting excited about all this. It started out as a release party for my husband Nik Green’s CD which I completed for him after his passing, and grew into a collaboration, first with Oniracom at Onifest 2019, and October 15th at Uncorked. The vision is coming together and developing.
